(VOVworld) - Israel and Hamas agreed to a five hour cease-fire on Thursday in order to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, amid continued international efforts to seek a long-term ceasefire.

Earlier, Hamas proposed a 10-year ceasefire on Wednesday in exchange for its demands including that the territory’s blockade by Israel and Egypt be eased significantly and that Israel release Palestinian prisoners.
