Netanyahu’s implication is that President Abbas will break the national unity government which was formed early last year toward cooperating with Israel in a diplomatic process. Earlier Israel halted negotiations on a peace deal with the Palestinian government due to the involvement of Hamas in the government.  Abbas has recently acted as a mediator between Israel and Hamas to end Israel’s 51-day offensive in the Gaza strip.

On Thursday Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal rejected the possibility to disarm the Islamic movement affirming that Hamas will not stop its resistance war against Israel until all their requests are met.
