At Thursday’s reception in Hanoi, Deputy PM Minh said he hopes the two countries will strengthen their cooperation in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and support for Vietnamese farmers, and expand programs to provide on-the-job training.

Mr. Takebe reviewed plans to build a Vietnam-Japan University and said he hopes the two countries will continue to cooperate in making this university a reality.

He said the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance will work closely with the Vietnam Farmers’ Union and share experience in developing state-of-the-art agricultural production following Japan’s model.
