At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for Tsutomo, Chinh recognised his efforts in facilitating cooperative projects between the two countries in culture and education, in particular the Vietnam-Japan University and the Japan-Vietnam Culture Festival.

Chinh said he believed that the productive collaboration between agencies will put the Vietnam-Japan University into operation shortly.

Tsutomo underscored the importance of exchanges between people, legislators, and localities in laying a firm foundation for the bilateral ties to advance strongly.

He said he hoped to continue receiving the assistance and co-operation of Vietnamese sectors and agencies.
