Japanese Prime Minister stresses trilateral cooperation with China, South Korea

(VOVworld) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the press on Thursday that he wishes to host a trilateral meeting with China and South Korea later this year to share responsibility over regional peace and prosperity.

Abe also said he hopes to meet bilaterally with Chinese President Xi Jinping and South Korean President Park Geun-hye on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, in September.

On Wednesday at a meeting with the Foreign Ministers from South Korea and China, Abe underscored the importance of the trilateral meeting and expected the three countries to actively prepare for the meeting later this year and make joint efforts to promote regional peaceful development and improve bilateral relations.
