King Norodom Sihamoni: Vietnam is Cambodia’s good friend, close neighbor

(VOVworld) – Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni began a 3-day leisure tour of Vietnam on October 19 at the invitation of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang.

President Sang had a courtesy meeting with the Cambodian King in the central city of Hue on Monday. Mr. Sang said the King’s vacationing in Vietnam shows his affection for Vietnam and Vietnamese people. He assured his guest that the Vietnamese Party, State, and people value and give high priority to strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation with Cambodia, for the sake of the two peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

The Cambodian King said Vietnam is a good friend and close neighbor of the Cambodian people. Cambodians will never forget the valuable assistance that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam have given them. He pledged to continue fostering friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
The same day, the King visited several cultural and historical monuments in the cities of Hue and Da Lat.
