(VOVworld) -Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavath Lengsavath has hailed the outcomes of a visit by a delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Dung.

At a July 31 reception for the Vietnamese delegation in Vientiane, Deputy PM Lengsavath thanked Vietnam for its support saying it is evidence of the close-knit relationship between the two nations. Deputy Minister Dung, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Sub-committee, informed the host of the results of his working sessions with Luang Namtha and Bo Keo provincial authorities, including the hand-over of Vieng Phu Kha high school in Luang Namtha, the second school project implemented using Vietnam’s non-refundable aid worth nearly US$3.57 million.
During the trip from July 30-31, Dung toured several construction works funded by Vietnam in Luang Namtha and Bo Keo provinces.
