(VOVworld) - Malaysia will seek justice for victims of flight MH17 which was shot down in Ukraine, at the United Nation General Assembly, said Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein on Sunday.

Malaysia's Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said on Saturday that the UN General Assembly in New York is the "right platform" to seek justice for victims of flight MH17 which was shot down in Ukraine. -- PHOTO: REUTERS

He added that Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who will address the on-going assembly in New York, would raise the matter with several leaders he would meet in New York, among them US President Barack Obama, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Minister Hishammuddin affirmed that Malaysia has the right to demand justice for the victims and bring to book those responsible for downing the aircraft.
