(VOVworld) – The 2015 Monsoon Music Festival opened in Hanoi on Thursday. This year’s festival features 100 Vietnamese and foreign artists performing pop, rock, and dance music. Each participating band will play a set lasting 45-90 minutes. The long-term aim of the festival is to become a leading international music festival, contribute to the development of Vietnamese music, and promote Hanoi’s image and Vietnam’s tourism and culture. Musician Quoc Trung, Director of the Festival, said: “This music festival is for everyone. Music lovers in Hanoi create the value of the festival. I hope that the Monsoon Music Festival in Hanoi will make a name for itself internationally.”
