(VOVworld) - Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai have agreed to strengthen ties between the two countries through increasing delegate exchanges and high-level meetings, and supporting each other at international forums and organizations. The consensus was reached during talks in the capital city Maputo on Thursday, where the two leaders discussed each other’s respective situations and reviewed Vietnam and Mozambique’s increasing friendship. The host congratulated Vietnam on its successes in economic development while the guest praised Mozambique’s socio-economic achievements and recent reform efforts. They agreed that both countries would continue supporting each other towards reaping greater success in national construction efforts. The Mozambican Prime Minister spoke highly of Vietnam’s assistance to his country in education-training and agricultural production, affirming that Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation projects, with the help of third parties have proven effective. During the talks, the two leaders focused their discussion on new partnership strategies in disaster forecasts and traffic management. Deputy PM Hai said that Vietnam is willing to share experiences in agriculture, oil and gas exploitation, and telecommunications with Mozambique and will continue to help Mozambique train technical workers. Earlier that day, the Vietnamese delegation worked with representatives from the Frelimo Party in Maputo. They also received senior officials from Mozambique’s ministries of agriculture & food security, transport & communications and industry & trade.
