(VOVworld) - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Tuesday commented on preparation for the year end session scheduled to open on October 20^th. Deputies are expected to pass 16 laws and 3 resolutions, including important amendments to the Civil Code, the Criminal Code and their Procedural Codes. They will comment on bills on associations, press, information access and pharmacy. Deputies will review social economic development plans for the next 5 years, and consider reports on crime prevention and anti corruption.

 The same day, the National Assembly Standing Committee commented on Vietnam’s accession to the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters. Delegates agreed on the government’s report on the necessity of accessing the convention, as its regulations are in line with the 2013 Constitution and the protection of legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese abroad and foreigners in Vietnam. They agreed on future amendments to existing laws and regulations to facilitate the convention’s implementation.
