(VOVworld) - The NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Spring session opened on Saturday in the Albanian capital, Tirana, to discuss the alliance's response to a variety of challenges ahead of a summit in July.

High on the agenda were the tough viewpoint of Russia toward Ukraine, the fight against terrorism and the migrant crisis. The declaration urges NATO leaders to strengthen collective defence and deterrence, develop a comprehensive strategy for promoting stability in North Africa and the Middle East, ensure that all allies meet military spending targets and boost cooperation with the European Union.
