(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met representatives of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe on Friday as part of her ongoing visit to the Czech Republic.

Ngan asked members of the associations’ executive committees to work harder to connect Overseas Vietnamese, preserve national identity, and develop Vietnamese language.  She said she hopes that the associations’ officials will continue to contribute to development of relations between Vietnam and European countries.

In another development, Vietnam Post and Telecom Group and its Czech partner Novicom signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in cyber security in Prague on Friday. Speaking in the ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said IT cooperation is an important part of working agenda during the National Assembly delegation’s visit to the Czech Republic.
