National Assembly resolution on 2015’s socio-economic development plan

(VOVworld) – National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung signed the National Assembly’s resolution on 2015’s socio-economic development plan on Saturday. The plan targets increasing micro-economic stability, removing obstacles to business production, restructuring the economy and growth model, and improving national competitiveness. Priority will also be given to administrative and judicial reform, anti-corruption, practicing thrift and preventing wastefulness while safeguarding national defense, security, and public order. Vietnam expects to achieve a GDP growth rate of 6.2% and a Consumer Price Index of 5%, reduce the poverty rate to 17-2%, and generate approximately 1.6 million jobs.
