(VOVworld)-Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on Thursday chaired the first session of the National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Improvement.

The Council aims to consult the government in the drafting of policies and programs on sustainable development and competitiveness improvement. Participants agreed on priorities for national sustainable development by 2020 with a focus on green development, clean energy and stabilizing the macro-economy. They called for a harmonious development in economic growth and cultural preservation.
