(VOVworld) – Thematic workshops on new technology in digital broadcasting era, and the development of ethnic language programs have been held as part of the 11^th National Radio Festival.

The festival which opened on Thursday is co-hosted by Radio the Voice of Vietnam and the Lam Dong provincial Radio and TV Station. VOV Deputy General Director Vu Hai is the Chief Organizer: "We need to discuss challenges facing radio broadcasting and ways to overcome. Changes are needed to make radio a reliable and important channel to meet people’s need for information and entertainment in the digital and internet era". 

Earlier, the jury board heard and selected the best works in the final round. This year, most of entries reflect socio-economic issues, national defence, and sovereignty over seas and islands as well as diplomacy and the country’s integration process.
