Nguyen Thi Mai, an overseas Vietnamese from Slovakia, said this was the first time she had visited the Hung Kings’ Temple festival. “I’ve returned to Vietnam after nearly 30 years. I’m proud to visit my homeland and offer incense on the altar to our ancestors. I’m glad to see changes in our nation. When I return to Slovakia, I’ll tell other Vietnamese that they should visit Phu Tho, the original land of our ancestors, and work for national growth.”
