PM Dung approves “Natural Disaster Management” project

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a “Natural Disaster Management” project and related legal documents including a proposal by the State Bank of Vietnam.
The project will be carried out with 150 million USD in official development assistance granted by the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank in 10 central provinces including Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, and Da Nang city by 2016. The project’s goal is to boost Vietnam’s capacity in preventing , responding to, and mitigating natural disasters through structural and non-structural measures.
