(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Public Security reviewed its performance during the first half of the year at a conference in HCM city on Tuesday.

In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that from now until the end of the year the people’s police force should continue to focus on national security and social order to serve socio-economic development. He said police forces should make contingency plans and ensure security in strategic areas such as the northwestern, the central highlands, and the southwestern regions. He also called for greater efforts in building up the Party in the police force.
