(VOVworld) – On Monday, the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas asked UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to call on the global community’s support to protect Palestinians in the context of increasing conflict with Israel.

In a telephone talk with the UN Chief, President Mahmoud Abbas urged Mr. Ban Ki-moon to take action before everything gets out of control. The UN Chief said he would talk to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the need to prevent escalating the conflict.
