Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met Chinese business representatives

(VOVworld) - Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong met Chinese business executives in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang province during his official visit to China on Sunday.

He told the business representatives that Vietnam and China’s relations have developed positively. Vietnam’s socialist oriented market economy is an energy economy with 92 million people and an annual growth rate of up to 7%. He said that the 12th National Party Congress has promoted comprehensive economic integration with a focus on macro economic stability, facilitating business improvement, economic restructuring towards better quality and productivity:“Vietnam treasures economic, trade and investment cooperation with China, supports and facilitates business cooperation for mutual development. We welcome Chinese businesses to invest in Vietnam using advanced and environmentally friendly technology with priority given to agriculture, high-tech, machinery, renewable and clean energy in combination with technological transfer and development of highly skilled workforce in line with Vietnam’s needs and development strategy. Businesses from both countries should contribute to more balanced and healthy trade development, promote tourism and exchanges to boost mutual understanding and friendship.”

Earlier, the Party leader met staff at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Shanghai and a local Chinese silk manufacturer. In the afternoon, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong left Hangzhou, concluding his official visit to China.
