(VOVworld)-Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has called on localities along the border between Laos and Vietnam to increase mutual assistance, contributing to the fruitful relationship between the 2 countries. Mr. Trong made the statement during a tour of Bolikhamsai province on Saturday as part of his visit to Laos, which concluded the same day.

Earlier, the Party leader visited the Kaysone Phomvihane  museum and a house dedicated to President Souphanouvong, where he praised the enormous contributions of the Lao leaders to Vietnam-Laos relations. Mr. Trong also met staff of the Vietnamese embassy in Vientiane and paid a courtesy visit to former Lao Party leader and President Khamtay Siphandone.
