(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and the National Assembly deputy delegation of Hanoi met with voters from Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts in Hanoi on Monday in preparation for the 8^th session of the 13^th National Assembly.

During the meeting, the deputies briefed voters on the major agenda of the 8^th session which will open on October 20 and close on November 29. During this session, the deputies are expected to approve 17 draft laws and 3 draft resolutions, comment on 12 draft laws and discuss major issues facing the country.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said that the 8^th session is the year-end session, and will cover a lot of important issues. The Party leader stressed that the Party and State paid special attention to agriculture and rural development. He agreed with voters on the need to combine economic investment with national defense. The Party leaders also talked with voters about issues relating to personnel training, and the fight against waste and corruption.
