Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong receives Russian Ambassador

(VOVworld)- Vietnam always treasures its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia. At a reception for outgoing Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrei Kovtun in Hanoi on Monday, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong praised the Ambassador for his great contribution to the development of bilateral ties. The Party leader asked the Russian Ambassador to convey the Vietnamese people’s thanks to President Vladimir Putin and other Russian leaders for their support for Vietnam.

Ambassador Andrei Kovtun said Russian ministries and agencies are implementing agreements signed by the two countries’ senior leaders during Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s recent visit to Russia. He promised to continue to contribute to strengthening bilateral ties between Vietnam and Russia.
