(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to Laos from next Thursday.

The 3-day visit aims to insist on Vietnam’s consistent guideline and policy to attach importance to the relations with Laos, consolidate the special solidarity, trust, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations in the new development of each Party and government.

The visit will also illustrate Vietnam’s strong support for Laos’ renewal process, construction, and defense.

During the visit, leaders of both countries will discuss the direction and keys for cooperation, and seek ways to improve the quality and efficiency of the Vietnamese-Lao ties in all fields.
