(VOVworld)- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid a working visit to Ha Giang province on Wednesday. The Party leader visited Binh Vang Industrial Zone in Vi Xuyen district and a number of local businesses. In his address at the Binh Minh Agro-Forestry Joint Stock Company, the Party leader urged the province to tap its potential to develop medicinal herbs thus reducing poverty and improving people’s lives. On the same day, the Party leader worked with Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and key local authorities.The Party leader said Ha Giang is located in a strategic position in terms of security and national defense. He asked the province to focus on implementing targets set at the 15^th Congress of the Provincial Party Committee and to prepare for the Party Congresses at various levels. He stressed the need to apply science and technology in agricultural and forestry production, restructure the crops, improve the quality of the mining sector and promote tourism and border trade. Also that day, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong also visited Thanh Thuy border gate.
