(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong launched a tree planting movement at the Hoa Lac High-tech Zone in Hanoi on Sunday.

He said that the Communist Party of Vietnam has always considered science and technology Vietnam’s top policy and a driving force for national construction and defense. He emphasized that the building of high-tech zones is aimed at boosting scientific and technological development.

Launching the tree planting movement, Mr. Trong said that this is a cultural tradition of Vietnamese people: “The tree planting movement is launched at the Hoa Lac high-tech zone, which means this is the place where we incubate talents for the nation. We hope that the high-tech zone will continue to develop and reap great success in the future.”

He also visited FPT Hoa Lac Software Company and FPT University on this occasion. Software exports are one of the spearhead sectors of FPT group. FPT University is training 3,000 students, 300 of which are foreigners.
