(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong met with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov on Thursday to discuss bilateral ties and parliamentary cooperation.

They agreed that parliamentary cooperation and friendship play an important role in the development of long-term, sustainable cooperation between the two countries. They also agreed that the Vietnam-Belarus friendship parliamentarian group and Belarus’s taskforce on cooperation with Vietnam’s National Assembly should strengthen cooperation to bridge parliamentarian activities between the two countries.
The same day, Party leader Trong visited the Minsk Automobile Plant and the Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War, which honors the sacrifices and great contributions of the Soviet Union people to save mankind from the Nazis.
Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang held a working session with the Belarus-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Economic-Trade Cooperation. Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam worked with the President of Belarus’s State Security Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense Truong Quang Khanh worked with Belarus’s Military Academy.
