Party leader urges Vietnamese in China to develop bilateral friendship

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong talked with embassy staff, overseas Vietnamese, and students in China on Wednesday as part of his ongoing visit to China. Mr. Trong briefed them on Vietnam’s developments and current key tasks. He said Vietnam and China, whose aged-old friendship, comradeship, and brotherhood have been nurtured through generations, have become comprehensive strategic partners. His ongoing visit to China will solidify political trust, boost multifaceted cooperation, and accelerate negotiations on appropriate settlement of sea disputes.

The Party leader urged Vietnamese living in China to fully honor local laws, promote solidarity, and act for closer friendship between the two peoples.   

Trong acknowledged great responsibility and efficient operation of Vietnamese embassy staff in China. He asked them to build a strong unit, effectively carry out political missions, engage in studies and consultations for stronger Vietnam-China ties, and care for the Vietnamese community in China.
