Polish apples to be exported to Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Vietnam and Poland have signed an agreement to allow Polish apples to be exported to Vietnam. According to Poland Radio, Minister of Agriculture Marek Sawicki said the agreement is important as Poland is seeking new markets for its agricultural products including apples and Vietnam is considered a potential market in Asia.

With a harvest of 2.5 million tons of apples per year, Poland leads Europe and ranks third in the world in terms of apple exports. In March, a Polish delegation worked with Vietnamese partners to complete legal documents for apple exports to Vietnam. The Polish Ministry of Agriculture hopes to export about 100,000 tons of apples per year to Vietnam.
