The architect, known familiarly as Kazik, was a great contributor to preserving the Hue imperial citadel. He died in 1997 while working on a preservation project at the citadel. Kazik also worked with dedication and contributed significantly to the restoration of Hoi An ancient town, the My Son Sanctuary, and the Hue Monuments Complex, which were recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritages. Kazik and other Polish architects were the first foreign experts to contribute to restoring and preserving the Hue cultural heritages, which led to sponsorship by international organizations.
