President Tran Dai Quang concludes State visit to Singapore

(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang and wife on Tuesday concluded their State visit to Singapore. Earlier in the morning, at a reception for Singapore’s Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, President Quang acknowledged the minister’s significant contributions to boosting Vietnam-Singapore relations.

He said Singapore has become one of the leading trade and investment partners for Vietnam, adding that Minister Goh Chok Tong has laid the foundation to elevate the two countries’ relations to strategic partnership in 2013.

Also on Tuesday day, President Tran Dai Quang had a working breakfast with Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean. Both leaders expressed their pleasure at the growing cooperation in defence and security, helping increase the two countries’ mutual trust.

Before leaving Singapore, President Quang visited the One North innovative technological park.
