(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has urged Nghe An province to boost the implementation of guidelines and policies of the Party Central Committee to boost the local economic development.

At a meeting with the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on Saturday, President Quang highlighted the province’s great potential of minerals and its strategic position. President Quang said: “The province needs to strengthen economic restructuring in combination with renewing the growth model toward rapid, sustainable growth. Nghe An should focus on high-tech industries that consume less fuel and materials and don’t pollute the environment. It’s necessary to accelerate and strengthen the inspection of key projects.”

The President asked the province to apply bio-technology and high technology in agricultural production, promote cultural, historical and ecological tourism, ensure national defense and security, better carry out ethnic and religious affairs, and settle petitions and denunciations.
