(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has had a working session with Vietnam Bar Confederation to review its work on the year. As the chairman of the central steering committee on judicial reform, the President praised the role played by lawyers in the protection of justice, human rights and socialist state of law.

He repeated the Party and State’s interest in the building of a contingency of lawyers as part of the judicial reform strategy by 2020: “Lawyers have made progress in justice protection by detecting miscarriage of judgment which is widely applauded by the society. This follows the combination of investigation and adversarial process at court in line with the Party guidelines and State policies.”

The President urged the confederation to strengthen international cooperation to get prepared for participation in international dispute resolution.
