(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang has told Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida that Vietnam highly values the support that Japan has given to Vietnam during its economic development over the past years.  At a meeting with the Japanese diplomat in Hanoi on Friday, President Truong Tan Sang said he believes that on the foundation of the mutually trustful political ties, the two countries will enjoy more progress in bilateral ties in the future. The President informed the guest that Vietnam has finished all the necessary procedures to launch the Vietnam-Japan University, which he described as a symbol for the friendship between Vietnam and Japan. He said Vietnamese authorities are also working hard to remove all obstacles for Japanese investors in Vietnam. In regards to regional and international issues, Kishida also made it clear that Japan supports Vietnam’s stance of settling disputes through peaceful measures in conformity with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea Kishida said Japan wanted to boost energy cooperation with Vietnam.
