(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has asked the Defense Ministries of Vietnam and Laos to increase cooperation to soon realize newly reached agreements. At the reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Lao Defense Minister Sengnuon Saynhalat, Truong Tan Sang noted that both should conduct regular exchanges of high-ranking delegations, meetings of the inter-governmental committee, and cooperation among provinces. The Vietnamese leader said the two countries should provide more mutual support for the prosperity of both countries and the region. Mr. Truong Tan Sang expressed his belief that the two armies will continue as a mainstay of the Parties, governments, and peoples in national construction and defense.
