(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang visited the People’s Police Academy in Hanoi on Tuesday.

He asked the academy to uphold its heroic tradition, develop its training, and carry out more scientific research, contributing further to improving Vietnam’s police force: “The academy should adhere to the police force’s political task and build a regular and modern revolutionary people’s police. Officers must be loyal to the nation, the Party, and the people and be ready to make sacrifices to safeguard national defense and security and protect people’s happiness. Police officers must fight crime and respect and serve the people.”

He also urged the academy to become a leading police training center in Vietnam and the region.
