(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received Japan’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Hayashi Yoshimasa in Hanoi on Tuesday. President Sang said he hoped agricultural cooperation between the two countries will be a role model in ASEAN. He urged prompt implementation of a cooperative agreement between the two countries’ ministries of agriculture once it is signed based on political trust. The Japanese minister said the two parties will discuss medium and long-term visions for agricultural cooperation. He also briefed President Sang that in September Japan will start to export apples to Vietnam and is considering importing Vietnamese mangoes.
