President receives foreign government and parliamentary leaders

(VOVworld) – On Monday President Truong Tan Sang received parliamentary and government leaders from Indonesia and Hungary who are attending IPU 132 in Hanoi. At a reception for Indonesia’s House Speaker Setya Novanto, President Sang proposed that the two countries implement signed high-level agreements in economics, trade, and investment. Praising Indonesia’s role in the region and the world, he said Vietnam was ready to work with Indonesia on maritime boundary demarcations and hoped that the two legislatures and peoples would strengthen cooperation, contributing to the goal of an ASEAN Community.

Meeting with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Semjen Zsolt and Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Latorcai Janos, he said that the two countries should foster cooperation to tap each other’s potential and that Vietnam was ready to be a gateway for Hungary to enter the ASEAN and Asian markets.

The Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister briefed his host on the results of his working session with Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai. He said that Hungary considered Vietnam a reliable partner in Asia.

The Hungarian leaders were later received by National Assembly Vice-chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
