(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc applauded the relationship between the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) and Vietnam and said he hopes this relationship will grow stronger.

At a reception for PCA Secretary General Hugo Hans Siblesz in Hanoi on Friday, the Vietnamese Prime Minister said he will assign the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be in charge of forging closer ties with the PCA. He welcomed the PCA’s opening of its office in Vietnam, which he said will make bilateral cooperation more practical and efficient.

The Secretary General thanked the Vietnamese government for allowing the PCA to open its office in Vietnam, which he said will enable the PCA to help train Vietnamese lawyers and judicial staff.
