(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received the ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates and Myanmar in Hanoi on Wednesday. Welcoming the new UAE ambassador Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani, Prime Minister Dung said that Vietnam wants to boost mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE. He proposed the UAE to recognize Vietnam’s market economy and provide ODA to help Vietnam deal with climate change, rising sea water and environmental protection. He said that Vietnam will create favorable conditions for UAE businesses to invest in Vietnam.

At a reception for Myanmar’s ambassador Uyn Lai, Prime Minister Dung praised Myanmar’s preparations for its ASEAN Presidency and pledged Vietnam’s support for Myanmar. He asked the ambassador to cooperate with both countries’ relevant ministries to further bilateral cooperation, contributing to the development of the ASEAN Community. Myanmar’s ambassador said his country welcomes Vietnamese businesses to invest in Myanmar, particularly in the areas of telecommunications, infrastructure development, mining, agriculture, and energy. He also expressed his hope that Vietnam would share its experiences in socio-economic development with Myanmar.
