(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday held a reception for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, during which he said Vietnam wanted to deepen its strategic partnership with the UK.

He said Vietnam wanted to foster bilateral relations in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, education, training, and people-to-people exchanges. He called for the UK’s continued support for Vietnam in poverty reduction, infrastructure development and climate change response. Tony Blair expressed his belief in Vietnam’s long-term development and praised Vietnam’s international integration policy and economic reform as well as its efforts to improve its business environment. He said he was ready to share his experience with Vietnam in attracting foreign investment, responding to climate change, and developing Public-Private Partnerships, education and training.
