The National Trademark Program aims to build a reputation for Vietnamese high-quality products and services and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese products domestically and globally. Last year 63 of Vietnam’s 500 biggest enterprises were selected as national trademarks. Bui Huy Son, Director of the Trade Promotion Department and Secretary General of the National Trademark Program, said: “Enterprises have been aware of the need to build and protect their trademarks in the global competition. With support from the government, they have engaged in activities of the national trademark council to bring about practical benefit for their businesses and enhance the prestige of Vietnamese trademarks.”

Regardless of various economic difficulties, the Vietnamese trademark program has obtained remarkable results, contributing to raise Vietnam’s export revenue to 100 billion USD in 2012 and 150 billion USD in 2014.
