Amidst several difficulties facing Vietnam’s tourism, complex global changes, the global financial crisis and economic recession, and low investment in tourism infrastructure, the resolution initiated key measures to promote potential for a breakthrough in tourism.
Nguyen Van Tuan, VNAT General Director, said at the seminar on Sunday: “For 23 years the government has issued a special resolution on measures to promote Vietnam’s tourism in the new period. It’s an important document aiming to resolve Vietnam’s tourism weaknesses and improve competitiveness. The resolution shows a change of view of the leadership and lessons draw from the past decade, particularly in the recent 5 years.”
