Reports made clear that Ha Mon paganism goes against genuine beliefs and religions and violates the law. It has been used by foreign hostile forces with political purposes to sabotage and harm unity within Vietnam’s ethnic groups and between the ethnic people and the authorities. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Kon Tum provincial People’s Committee, said that in addition to dealing with violators according to the law, it’s necessary to communicate with, educate, and convert them. "Kon Tum province has specific plans to instruct sectors and local administrations and encourage people to eliminate Ha Mon heresy in the province. We communicate with the people and cooperate with other religions to encourage people not to trust and follow this heresy and return to their normal lives. We persuade people to ensure security in their hamlets and get involved in building cultural residential areas."

General Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security and Head of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands, said the fight to abolish Ha Mon heresy in the Central Highlands will succeed only if the overall strength of the political system and public consensus are promoted. Minister Quang: "It’s important to mobilize the strength of the political system, and enhance internal and public consensus to drive back the enemy. In dealing with ethnic and religious affairs in the Central Highlands, we have to focus on public communication and the implementation of religious and ethnic minority policies. In specific cases, we have to combine administrative and legal measures to deal with extremists.  Consolidating the strength of the local political system and all people’s national defense, and effectively implementing policies on ethnic minority groups and religions are significant factors to improve the situation in complicated areas in terms of religion and ethnicity."
