Public security minister wraps up China visit

(VOVworld) - Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang on Wednesday concluded his visit to China, during which he co-chaired the fourth conference on anti-crime cooperation between the two ministries. During his stay in China, Minister Quang met with Secretary of the Tianjin municipal People’s Committee Sun Chunlan, who hailed the multi-faceted cooperation between her city and Vietnamese localities. Tianjin authorities treasure and hope to develop bilateral friendship and comprehensive collaboration with Vietnamese provinces and cities, especially Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, she said. Minister Quang expressed his hope that such rapport will be further deepened, thus fostering Vietnam and China’s traditional friendship and cooperation and satisfy the aspirations and interests of the two peoples.

At a separate meeting with Senior Lieutenant General Wang Jianping, Commander of the Chinese People’s Armed Police, the Vietnamese official said he hoped the Chinese side and his ministry would increase information sharing in preventing terrorism and anti-social disturbance as well as ensuring safety and order in the respective countries for peace and stability in the region and the world at large.
