An official from the Ministry said the Ministry of Unification and the WFP will strengthen their cooperation in providing nutritional aid to North Korean women and children. The MOU calls for increased bilateral cooperation and sharing of the results of humanitarian assistance to North Korea. The MOU was signed at the WFP’s headquarters in Rome, Italy.

In September, South Korea confirmed plans to contribute 7 million USD to the WFP’s project on infant and maternal nutrition in North Korea.
