Russia, Serbia sign cooperative agreements

(VOVworld) - Serbia and Russia have signed seven agreements, memorandums and protocols during a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Belgrade on Thursday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to discuss measures on boosting bilateral ties.

The visit took place as Serbia marked its 70th anniversary of liberation from fascism in World War Two. Speaking at a ceremony to mark the event, President Nikolic expressed gratitude to Russian fallen soldiers who died in World War Two to help liberate Belgrade and Serbia.
