Russian President ratifies outer space cooperation deal with Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has ratified a cooperation agreement between Russia and Vietnam in exploring and using aerospace for peaceful purposes. The document was announced on Russia’s official legal information website on July 22nd. The agreement was signed between the two governments in Hanoi during Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev’s visit to Vietnam in November 2012. It aims to create organizational and legal grounds as well as change a number of issues relating to the protection of intellectual property and information exchanges to boost bilateral cooperation in the field.  The shipment of cargo for outer space cooperation will be tax-free.
