(VOVworld) –Many Russian experts have predicted that 2017 will be a successful year for Vietnam. In an interview with Sputnik Radio, Honorary Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association Evgeny Glazunov said that 2017 will see many achievements in Vietnam socio-economic development as well as improvements in Vietnam- Russia relations.  He stressed that Vietnam is an example for ASEAN countries and will continue to record one of the fastest economic growth rates in the region.

Journalist and historian Piotr Tsvetov expressed his belief that Vietnam will achieve greater successes than 2016, citing that Vietnamese leaders are making effective steps to solve domestic issues and Vietnam is facing less challenges than other countries. President of the Association of Russian Veterans Nikolai Kolesnik said that the achievements Vietnam made in 2016 will be inherited and upheld in 2017.
